Goli Soda 2 Movie Review
Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Vijay Milton made his directorial comeback with Goli Soda before 3 years. The film was declared blockbuster and carrying the same name as ‘Goli Soda 2’ is back now. Nevertheless, his previous film 10 Endradhukulla turned to be an average hit in box office. Vijay Milton’s brother Bharath Seeni is producing the film and is playing one of the lead roles as well. Samuthirakani, Chemban Vinod Jose, Rohini, Subiksha, Krisha Kurup, Saravana Subbaiah, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rekha, Rakshita and Satya Murthi are playing important roles. The film is about the three youngsters in the society and the hurdles they face during their journey to achieve something bigger. Starviews brings you crystal clear analysis in this Goli Soda 2 Movie Review.
Based on ranking of highest attraction, couple of things instantly attracts us. Background score by Achu Rajamani is top-notch in many places. He places impressive strokes at the appropriate places. The second one is the characterization of all the actors. Vijay Milton has conceptualized the story of Goli Soda 2 based on caste issues and how the society sometimes degrades the working class people. Such aspects of narrative and technical aspects are worthy of appreciations in this film. Nevertheless, the dragging narration happens to be a little minus to the film. Seemingly, it looks like Vijay Milton crafted the screenplay banking his hopes on couple of scenes – The attack at political party office and the climax. Of course, they are very well built with adequate tension popping up within us. But few things remain unjustified, say for instance, the romance between the lead actors. While the episodes involving Bharath Seeni and Subiksha look commendable, the reason behind other couple of falling in love remains vague. Samuthirakani is almost like a protagonist, for he keeps appearing throughout the film, but his role is too stereotypical in other movies with his preachy attributes.
Chemban Vinod Jose has proved his prowess in many Malayalam movies, but here is limited to routine baddie’s shades. Gautham Vasudev Menon wins applause and yes, he is awesome with his limited screen presence. We would like to see him appear in full fledged lead roles soon. He has that universal face that keeps us engrossed. Vijay Milton’s cinematography is commendable. Be it songs or stunt sequences, he has done a remarkable job. But editing in few places look more rapid.
On the whole, Goli Soda 2 stands out to be interesting in few parts, but if the screenplay was kept engaging, like including some new scenes, it would have turned to be more appealing.

GOLI SODA 2 BRINGS IN AN APPEALING PREMISE, BUT THE FILM’S RACINESS GETS DIMINISHED BY ITS MEDIOCRE WRITING.
