It all begins with a confusion over the midnight hours, where the teaser gets leaked and immediately we get to see the preponed release happening officially. Well, that’s something about investigative aspects on what happened and who did. So what about the teaser? How effective does it stand out to be? There are certain things that leaves us by the end to compare both Kaala and Kabali teaser. Obviously, both the movies being directed by same filmmaker – Pa Ranjith.
The Kabali teaser completely had a hero worship and it was all about Rajinikanth. Maybe, it could have been a strong suggestion from producers that time to boost up fans’ enthusiasm. But over here in Kaala, we see that Pa Ranjith has been given complete freedom that he has offered so much drama in a span of 75 seconds teaser. The establishment of characters played by Rajinikanth, Nana Patekar and other characters are very well done in a shorter duration.
Of course, there is a heavy mass punch elements available for Rajinikanth fans. But Kaala seems to be more content based rather than being a usual commercial heroism based drama. Musical score by Santhosh Narayanan is good but not the same unparalleled thing as in Kabali teaser. Let us wait and watch out if it would get escalated in accordance to brewing of time.
