Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja Review
These YouTubers have been already famous for their online presence and have invariably found red carpets spread out for them. They arrive as a team on debut (although, these artistes and technicians) have made their film debuts earlier. Of course, this marks the directorial debut of Karthik Venugopalan of ‘Blacksheep’ fame. The film features Rio Raj, Shirin Kanchwala, RJ Vigneshkanth, Nanjil Sampath and Radharavi in the star-cast with Shabir composing music. Starviews bring you the exclusive analysis with Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja Review.
The film revolves around couple of friends – Siva (Rio) and Vicky (RJ Vigneshkanth), who have found themselves popular and successful with YouTube shows. Theirs is a picture perfect life until they bounce upon a businessman, who offers them a big money, but under the condition of performing 3 tasks. Will these youngsters be able to accomplish it?
It’s a simple story and in fact, it doesn’t call up for an in depth analysis. In many places, the film looks nothing less than the YouTube show itself that these people have been doing. Of course, the satire works out a lot tickling our funny bones and something to think upon as well. Rio has done a neat work with his performance. It’s actually a decent launch for him and if he can switch between commercial and offbeat roles simultaneously. RJ Vignesh is always good when he is given a good characterization and along with Rio, he does give into a decent work. Nanjil Sampath and Radharavi have done exactly of what is expected of their roles. However Shirin Kanchwala looks feeble and her portions doesn’t add any mileage to the film.
Although the film is enjoyable in parts, the flow remains disrupted here and there. If the scenes, especially the portions involving the serious backdrops had been done with yet more intensity, this could have been a much more engrossing entertainer.
