Following his comeback with commendable hits, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s new outing ‘Sathriyan’ featuring Vikram Prabhu and Manjima Mohan in lead roles. The film is SR Prabhakaran and was initially titled as ‘Moodi Sooda Mannan’, which later got renamed with this famous Tamil cinema title.

To be frank, the lyrics that this song carries are more appropriate for an A-league actor like Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith and so on. Such is the impact of these lyrical lines, where we get to come across the inspiring phrases. But, the musical composing could have been yet more overpowering to emblazon the lyrics. Whereas the rendition by Deepak is flawless and he does it all well and gives his best.

When Yuvan Shankar Raja settles with a solo melody, he will never miss to mesmerize you fervently with his slow poison. The orchestral strings and the instrumentals, especially by the interlude are the greatest highlights. This will definitely have more boosts up with the visuals and makers can prefer releasing these visuals before the release.

It sounds like a situational song that could be placed somewhere during the crucial part of the film and we have to wait till then for this track to have its escalation. The lyrical lines are more substantial and so matured that not many Vikram Prabhu albums have been bestowed with. The song in few places reminds us of ‘Thaalattam Kaatre Vaa’ from ‘Poovellam Un Vaasam’.
Sathriyan in Action – Theme
Something more of a new attempt by Yuvan Shankar Raja and he would offer such styled theme music for his close buddies like Venkat Prabhu and Vishnuvardhan. Over here, it has all elements to elevate the visual approach of the makers.
